Traditional Acupuncture

Acupuncture involves the insertion of thin sterile needles into specific points on the body to achieve therapeutic results. The needles are placed in areas that have high concentrations of nerve endings which trigger physiological & psychological changes in the body such as serotonin, dopamine, endorphins & norepinephrine. Acu points are located on meridians which are planes of connective tissue that link the body's surface to it's internal organs. It gently shifts the body from sympathetic (fight or flight) into parasympathetic (rest & digest) which is the only place your body can truly heal. Acupuncture is both preventative & healing.
